Entrusted by Christ with the mission of bringing the Good News to all, we the multilingual family of Our Lady of Assumption, joyfully declare to love and honor God and another. We desire to grow in our faith and strive to serve the needs of others with the help of the Virgin Mary. Blessing of the Animals on the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi - October 4th

In honor of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the Blessing of the animals will take place on Tuesday, October 4th, at 6:00PM, at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Assumption. Bring your pets to be blessed.

Continuing Education Class

In the 2016-2017 school year, we will be offering a Continuing Education class for young people who have already received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Father Janusz will be teaching this class to continue formation in the Faith. The class will be held on Tuesday evenings at no charge. If you are interested, please sign up for it at the Religious Ed office (Check schedule)

El Padre Janusz estará ofreciendo nuevamente la Clase de Catecismo para Jóvenes que ya recibieron el Sacramento de Confirmación. La clase será ofrecida los Martes por la noche. Interesados, por favor llamar a la Oficina de Educación Religiosa.



R.C.I.A. - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process for: 

1) those Non-Christians who are 18 years of age or older considering the possibility of becoming Roman Catholic;

2) for those 18 years of age or older, of other Christian faiths considering the possibility of embracing the Roman Catholic Church;

3) for baptized Roman Catholics 18 years of age or older who have not received either the sacrament of Eucharist or Confirmation - or both.

Time: 2 hours on Sunday afternoon which will include Mass and class. The person must be willing to participate and read weekly assignments.

Classes in English will begin in October and will be held on Sundays from 2pm until 3pm. If you have a friend or family member who would be interested please contact Deacon Mike or Deacon Phil at the rectory. An interview must be conducted before classes begin. Classes will be conducted in Spanish as well, please leave a message at the Rectory.



We invite all our younger parishioners ages 11 and up to join our Youth Group (in English) each Friday night at 7:30 PM in the basement of the church.

It is a great opportunity to deepen your faith, to meet new friends, to do something useful and to simply have fun together.
