Entrusted by Christ with the mission of bringing the Good News to all, we the multilingual family of Our Lady of Assumption, joyfully declare to love and honor God and another. Baptism

English:                   1st Saturday of the month at 12:00pm in the Church

When planning a Baptism, please call the Rectory to speak to a priest/deacon.  Families will need to meet with a priest or deacon, attend an evening of preparation and provide a copy of the birth certificate of the one to be baptized, as well as, letters from the godparent's current parish stating that they can act as a sponsor.  Click here for more information regarding godparents/sponsors.

 

Reconciliation/Penance

Confessions are heard on Saturdays from 4pm to 4:45pm in the Church.  You may also make an appointment with one of our Priests.

Confessions are heard:

Wednesdays 7:00 am - 7:30 am (English and Polish)
Wednesdays 8:30 am - 9:00 am (English and Spanish)

First Reconciliation:  Children will be prepared to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation as part of the Religious Education program.  Adults are prepared to receive the Sacrament as part of the RCIA program.  Please contact our Religious Education office at (631) 842-3545 for more information.

 

Holy Eucharist

First Holy Communion:  Children are prepared to receive first Holy Communion through our Religious Education program.  Adults are prepared to receive the Sacrament through the RCIA program.  Please contact our Religious Education office at (631) 842-3545 for more information.

Communion for the Homebound:  Please call the Rectory at (631) 842-5211 to arrange a visit from one of our Priests, Deacons or Eucharist Ministers.

 

Confirmation

Children are prepared to be Confirmed through our Religious Education program.  Adults are prepared to be Confirmed through the RCIA program.  Please contact our Religious Education office at (631) 842-3545 for more information.

 

RCIA

If you are interested in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults Program (RCIA), please contact Deacon Mike or Deacon Phil at the rectory (631) 842-5211. An interview must be conducted before clases begin.
 

 

Matrimony

Please contact a priest or deacon at least six months prior to your wedding date and before finalizing reception plans.  Couples will need to attend an approved program of marriage preparation.  Contact the parish office at (631) 842-5211 or (631) 608-4780 for more information.

 

Holy Orders

The privilege of serving God's people as a priest, permanent deacon, religious sister or brother is personally fulfilling and spiritually exciting.  Anyone who feels they might be interested in the priesthood, diaconate or religious life should speak to a parish priest.

 

Anointing of the Sick

Anointing of the Sick is administered on the first Saturday of every month after the 8:00am Mass and Novena prayers.  If you know you will be entering the hospital for elective surgery, it is appropriate and recommended to receive the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick before entering the hospital. Simply ask one of the parish priests to give you the sacrament before admission.  In the case of any emergency, please call the Rectory at (631) 842-5211.
